NEW YORK — Carlos Alcaraz entered the U.S. Open’s main interview room on Friday as he seems to do everything in life: with a big smile.
“Long time, long time,” the defending champion said as he sat down behind the podium.
Soon there would be words and answers beaming from Alcaraz’s mouth as well: he was facing a room full of reporters for the first time since a season-altering right wrist injury sidelined him more than four months ago.
