For myriad reasons already discussed here and elsewhere, the deeply unsatisfying 2026 season of men’s tennis is likely to go down as one of the worst in recent memory.
The season isn’t quite over yet—and the Race to Turin will go down to the wire—but we can already begin to look ahead to what might be brighter days. Because, in a November surprise, the 2027 men’s tennis season got its first big storyline on Sunday morning.
