We’re living in a time when we need to show our willingness to fight for the values we believe in. The moment came for Nina, and she delivered. Thanks for continuing to pursue this story.

Tiley meanwhile, managed to look both weak and childish (How dare she ruin my perfect party by bringing up something unpleasant?)

Nina didn't ruin anything for anyone. The ATP and tournament directors ruin tennis for a lot of us who aren’t comfortable with the platform and promotion they give to Zverev.

Shame, shame, shame on Australian Open tournament director Craig Tiley. I wonder if he — or any top official on the ATP Tour — has ever bothered reading Ben's Slate piece on Sharypova or any of the horrific things Zverev (and his father, too!) are accused of by her.

"'You have until evening to pack your stuff,’ Sharypova recalled Zverev Sr. telling her. "'I was naked, sitting on the floor of the shower—all my body burns,' she said. 'When he left, I was so emotionally down, I just started laughing. I was crying and I was laughing. His father just was like, ‘You’re trash. We don’t need you.'" https://slate.com/culture/2021/08/alexander-zverev-domestic-abuse-allegations-olga-sharypova.html

There appears to be a complete unwillingness among the male directors of Grand Slams and among the male executives on the ATP Tour — all Italian, btw, which is why I'm convinced they also downplay the doping allegations against their beloved Italian superstar Sinner — to consider that TWO women with similar allegations might be telling the truth.

Thanks for this interview and for your continued advocacy. So much respect to Nina for speaking out and making it uncomfortable for Tilley and the ATP. We all need to make it uncomfortable for people who enable and celebrate abusers.

Nina’s courage is inspiring! Thank you Ben for continuing to cover this story. Shame on Craig Tiley! I know I’m not alone when I don’t watch any match that Zverev plays. I skipped the final.
